Your email. Your choice.
Fit Finder’s waitlist keeps you updated about the launch. It is separate from the future app and its photo features.
What we collect
When you join, we store your email address, signup time, the form you used, and a record of your agreement to receive waitlist emails. If you use an invite link, we also store who referred you, email subscription status and invite signup counts. Your referrer can see a count, never your email address. A short-lived keyed hash of your network address helps limit repeated requests; the raw address isn’t stored in the waitlist database.
How it is used
If you accept analytics, we also attach a broad browser and operating system category, device type, approximate country and campaign labels from the link you used to your signup to help plan platform support. We derive these from request headers, not precise location access. They can be inaccurate. An Apple desktop may be marked as a possible iOS audience hint; it is not treated as proof that you own an iPhone. We do not keep the raw browser header in your signup record. Rejecting analytics leaves these optional fields out and does not prevent you joining.
Your email is used, with your consent, to maintain the waitlist, send a welcome email with personal invite links, and share launch updates. Sharing an invite is optional and does not currently guarantee earlier access.
We keep an email delivery history: campaign and template version, send time, delivery status, bounces, complaints and subscription changes. This helps prevent duplicate or unwanted messages and measure delivery. Delivery means the receiving mail server accepted a message; it does not prove that you read it. We do not currently use email open pixels or tracked email links.
When the app connects to this service, a verified app login using the same email can link your waitlist and referral history to your account. This preserves your existing email preferences; creating an account does not renew consent after you unsubscribe. Using another address, including an Apple private relay address, will require a separate account-linking process.
Who processes it
Firebase stores the signup record, Resend manages delivery contacts, Vercel hosts the website when deployed, Better Stack may process limited technical error data to detect faults and protect the service, and Google Analytics processes usage information if you opt in. We do not sell the waitlist. These providers may process data outside your country under their service terms and data-protection arrangements.
Your choices
You can withdraw your consent or request access, correction or deletion of your signup. Every waitlist email will include an unsubscribe link. Before launch, contact us at hello@socialclimb.uk.
Retention
We use the waitlist for launch updates and optional referrals. We will review the records after launch and remove entries that are no longer needed, unless a separate legal obligation requires retention. Abuse-limit records become eligible for removal after one hour and are deleted by our periodic maintenance process.
Photos and cookies
This website’s outfit demo uses prepared images. It does not access your camera, upload your photos, or perform a live search. The current website uses Google Analytics and the optional Better Stack browser tag only if you accept analytics cookies. They help us measure visits, campaign sources and interactions such as selecting a piece or joining the waitlist. Google and Better Stack may receive device, browser and online-session information through those optional tools. We do not send your email or form contents in analytics events. Private invite, confirmation and unsubscribe pages do not load analytics.
Separately, we may send technical error events to Better Stack using its Sentry-compatible error service so we can find outages and broken flows. This fault reporting is limited to technical diagnostic data, does not load the optional browser analytics tag and does not require an analytics cookie. We do not intentionally send waitlist emails, referral tokens or precise location in error context.
If you accept and join the waitlist, we also save your approximate country and browser/device category with your signup to help plan the app. Rejecting analytics does not affect signup. Your cookie choice is saved in your browser for 90 days solely to remember your preference. Analytics cookies use the ff prefix and last up to 90 days. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice; rejecting deletes our analytics cookies and stops future collection in this browser. It does not delete analytics or signup context already collected; contact us to request deletion of optional context attached to your email. Google may process analytics data outside the UK. We keep advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation disabled.
